■文法

(1)助動詞のcan 「〜することができます」という表現をするとき、can＋動詞の原型 にする。 canは動詞と結びついて１つの意味をなすため、このような単語を助動詞という。 canを含む文の場合、主語が３単現でもそれ以外でも動詞は原型のままで、 canにsがついてcansになることもない。 一般動詞の文 You   speak Japanese. (あなたは日本語を話します。) canの文 You can   speak Japanese. (あなたは日本語を話すことができます。)  He can   teach Japanese. (彼は日本語を教えることができます。)  (2)canの否定文 「〜することができません」という表現をするときは、cannot (can't)＋動詞の原型 にする。 肯定文 You can answer the question.   (あなたはその質問に答えられます。) 否定文 You cannot answer the question.   (あなたはその質問に答えられません。) Haromi can't get up early..   (はろ美は早く起きられません。)
